The Priests

(photograph source: thepriests.com)

Recently, a friend suggested that I google the words "THE PRIESTS". Curious, I did so. It turned out that this is the name of a new music group.

However, unlike other "boy bands", this group comprises three practicing Roman Catholic priests from Ireland who signed up recently with recording company Song BMG.

Fathers Eugene and Martin Hagan are brothers and Father David Delargy were apparently at school together and have sung together since they were young. They have their own parishes in Northern Ireland.

The music of The Priests will be religious and spiritually inspired classics including Ave Maria and Panis Angelicus.

I listened to some of the youtube videos of their performances that were posted and I was entranced. Feedback has been given by people who have heard them sing that they have "voices like angels". I find that their voices blend so effortlessly and harmoniously and it is very soothing to listen to their singing.

Their debut album "The Priests" has just been released. I think that it would be a good album to get. (Eh, Da.... big hint here, okay? heehee....)

For a sneak preview of their amazing harmony, here are some of their songs:-

"PIE JESU"

"AVE MARIA"
