Jesus loves me

The message in the Christmas mass at OLPS church that we attended this year was simple - we love because He first loved us.

The Lord loves us and He will always see us through. No matter what trials and tribulations we are going through, we need to focus our eyes on the Lord. When we fix our eyes on Him, we do not see the storm around us. Let us trust in the Lord for He has gone ahead of us and paved the way for our victory.

If God is for us, who can be against us?

We do not have to live in fear because God's Word says that Jesus has already defeated the devil. Even before the battle begins in our lives, we know that we will win it. We will come out victorious.

When we are faced with impossibilities, we should never give up. We should continue to worship the Lord and watch Him work in our behalf. All things are possible to those who believe.

When we encounter trials and tribulations in our lives, before we ask God to help us, we should first give thanks to God and worship Him. Abba Father, I worship You and I give You thanks. I magnify Your name. You are worthy to be praised. You strengthen me when I am weak. You lift me high on the clouds and You help me to walk on water. I know that You did not put the road blocks in my life and You will take away the challenges that I am undergoing. I believe that right now, You are working in my life and in my circumstances. I believe that my miracle has already happened and I am excited to see the manifestation of my miracle.

This song is one of the many compositions by the Music Ministry at the church that Da and I attend. I have reached the stage in my life where (due to lack of practice), I now have difficulty reading Chinese characters. However, as I speak the Mandarin language to some clients in the course of my work, I fortunately still have a working command of the spoken Mandarin language.

When I first heard this song being sung in church, the lyrics called out to me. I bought the single CD and I asked a colleague to help read out the lyrics in Mandarin while I penned down the lyrics in hanyu pinyin. I then memorised the lyrics.

I have since sung this most beautiful song (in my head and aloud) so many times that I no longer need to refer to the handwritten hanyu pinyin lyrics.

Jesus will love us forever. When we are weak, He will lift us up.

The magnitude of His love for us is beyond comprehension. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

He said that we are His beloved. He knows what we are doing at any point in time and He is always concerned for us.

He loves us to the ends of the ocean. Words cannot express his magnanimity.

He took away our pains and worries. His precious blood washes us clean of our sins.

Jesus, we love You. We love You deeply... because You first loved us. You bring us comfort and Your love has saved us.

Abba Father, I thank You for the precious gift of Your Son. I do not deserve what He has done for me. He has saved me, He has taken away my sins and my diseases and He has given me freedom to soar on eagle's wings. I have lost count of the number of times where things just fall into place. It is not a mere coincidence. I know that it is Jesus. It is not about how good I have been or what I have done. Nothing that I do right will earn me salvation and nothing wrong that I do will cause me to lose that salvation. The gift of grace and righteousness and non-imputation of sin in my life is a blood-bought gift, bought by the shedding of the most precious blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Jesus, I love You... because You first loved me. Amen.

2000 years ago, Jesus took our sickness and diseases upon himself at the Cross so that today, we can live a life that is healthy, whole and full of peace.

Whenever we have symptoms of sickness in our bodies, we must remember that these are nothing more than symptoms. I am not saying that we deny the existence of the sickness. What I am saying is that we should reject this in the name of Jesus. Do not let the devil rob us of health. Jesus has overcome it all for us.

Thank You, Jesus. Thank You, Father. There is nothing that is impossible for You to overcome. Through Jesus, I live a life of victory.

Olivia Newton John (popularly known as "ONJ") has an amazing voice. Even when she had passed the first blush of youth, she retained her evergreen singing voice and gracious looks.

I came across this youtube video of ONJ performing with the talented pianist/composer, Jim Brickman. What a wonderful combination.

In the video, when she came on stage, she was given a standing ovation - something she definitely deserved!

When she started singing, I was mesmerised by her voice. I cannot really explain this but you can hear the beauty in her voice. Simply wonderful.
