Leftovers? No worries!

You know what they say about leftovers.... reheat them the next day and they taste even better!

I have come down with a touch of influenza. Last night, I had so much difficulty sleeping as my entire body was wrecked in aches and discomfort. When I woke up this morning, I felt as though I had rheumatism - all my bones were crying out in pain!

I had planned to leave the office early today but as it turned out, it was not to be. By the time I left the office and Da and I reached home, I could not smell anything as my nose was entirely blocked. Rummaging through our refrigerator, I decided to prepare a simple dinner using leftovers.

I reheated the balance of the ABC soup that my mother cooked for us earlier this week. The soup was very tasty and delicious.

I also portioned out onto two plates the balance of the beef fried rice that Da bought for me yesterday. I had scooped out a little of the rice for my dinner yesterday, leaving a large portion of leftovers. Hmm... I have to say that the beef fried rice sold at our favourite coffee shop at Jalan Tua Kong tastes nicer.

I have been avoiding mooncakes for the past few days as I have not been feeling well. Although I have not recovered, I could not resist eating some mooncake after dinner today. This year, we did not have to buy any mooncakes for ourselves. We were given mooncakes by various people and it was more than enough for us.

Yawn... it has been a long week. I think that I shall call it a night as I have an afternoon work meeting to attend tomorrow. Have a restful weekend!

Get well soon. Warm soup should do the trick for faster recovery.
