God gives us the Grace to perform a part and He blesses us for using the Grace that He first gave us. It is not about us. It is all about Jesus. Lord, I want a superabundance of Grace and favour! When we are truly under the favour of God, when we experience God's Grace, it translates into favour with men. Grace is unearned and undeserved.
There are two ways to receive favour in the sight of God and among men:-
(1) by knowledge of Jesus - Grace, favour and peace are multiplied to us through the revelation knowledge of Jesus, our Lord. The more of Jesus we know, the more healthy we become and the more peace is multiplied. Our faith makes us well. Jesus gave us His health, wholeness and well-being. Let not your heart be troubled; neither let it be afraid. If you guard your heart, everything outside will take care of itself;
(2) by submission - if you submit to someone stronger and smarter than you, that is not submission. It is "giving in". Although Jesus is the Son of God, when he was twelve years ago and His parents (Joseph and Mary) found him in the temple with the teachers, He followed them home and He submitted to them... and He increased in favour and stature among God and men.
Do not let your main attraction be what you wear or what you adorn yourself with. God renews your youth like the eagles. Nothing is impossible for the Lord. We are the children of Sarah - children of Grace. If we are busy enjoying the Lord, success and results will come. If any man thirsts, let him come unto Jesus and drink and out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water. Drink and you will refresh many!
If the first covenant had been faultless, no place would have been sought for a second covenant (Hebrews 8). God found fault with the old covenant. The law commands but it does not assist. The law demands righteousness but it does not provide it. The law condemns. God made a new covenant and gave us new desires and new "want to"(s) in our heart. The new covenant is all "I will" by God. God said, "I will be your God and you shall be My people.". If you need healing, He will be Your God and you will be His healed people.
The old covenant is:-
Thou shall
Thou shall not
The new covenant is:-
I will
I will
The more people believe that they are forgiven, the more God is able to write in their hearts. There is nothing for us to do under the new covenant but to believe. He is merciful. When God says a "new covenant", He has made the first obsolete. Do not hold onto the old covenant because it will make you old.
At the last supper, Jesus said, "This cup is the new covenant in My blood, which is shed for the forgiveness of sins.". Jesus is an overpayment for all our sins, with plenty left over. Amen! God does not have to bless us at another person's expense. God has plenty for us with much more left over.
Jesus defined "fear of the Lord" as worship of the Lord. We have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear but the spirit of sonship by which we cry out, "Abba, Father!" (Romans 8).
The law cannot make us holy and perfect in our conscience. If the old testament sacrifices had worked, the worshippers would not have sin on their consciousness. It is not holy to be sin conscious. Once we are purified, we should have no more consciousness of sin. We are forgiven in the new covenant of our past, present and future sins. Whoever is forgiven much will love much. He that lacks self control, persecutes others, etc has forgotten that he has been purged of all his sins.
Jesus took our place at the Cross so that we can take His place. Jesus came to take away the first covenant (that is, the law) and establish the second covenant (that is, Grace). By this, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus once for all. Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world! After Jesus has offered one sacrifice for sins forever, He sat down at the right hand of God. Because He has made the payment, He sat down. Once sacrifice for sins forever! Let us stop trying to make sacrifices for our sins. If we give as a debt we owe and do things to atone for our sins, it can never be a seed that we sow.
The Holy Spirit witnesses to us. Our sins and lawless deeds, God will remember no more. The Holy Spirit has come to witness to the perfect payment. Even when we fail, God still loves us and we are His righteousness. Let us shake off the dust and continue walking. We are righteous by faith. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto you. All our sins have been forgiven. God is no longer looking at our sins. Therefore, be bold to enter the holiest by the blood of Jesus. The blood that He shared on the Cross and tore the veil also removed our sins and we can now come boldly before God.
We should not have sin on our consciousness. The eternal blood of Jesus provides for us eternal redemption. Knowing this makes us want to fall in love with Jesus and to worship Him even more! Sin shall not have dominion over us when we are under Grace. We can enjoy the free favours of God. We cannot be living in sin and yet still be under Grace. Some people sin not because they want to but because every time they sin, they condemn themselves. The more they condemn themselves, the more they will repeat the cycle. Hate the sin but love the sinner. The gift of no condemnation will empower us to sin no more.
Once we know that it has been paid, we can come boldly to the throne of Grace to obtain mercy and Grace. Mercy is "not getting the bad that we deserve" and Grace is "getting the good that we do not deserve". Even when we do not feel like worshipping the Lord, worship Him nonetheless. Go to the Saviour as we are! He will cleanse us, heal us and make us whole. Until we go to Him, we can get rid of nothing and we have no power to save ourselves nor free ourselves of our infirmities.
At the Cross, Jesus took our place to repay the full value of what God was robbed (that is, His glory and His honour because of man's rebellion). Jesus overpaid. God has become a gainer through the Cross. He received all He has lost and He gained much more. God is more glorified by Redemption than He is by Creation. By Creation, we are left without sight. The moment we go to the one who redeemed us (Jesus), the scales fell off our eyes and we become blessed. The stripes of Jesus are unshakable ground for our wholeness and healing. All that the devil has taken from us, we got back at the Cross and much more.
Many people are sick today because of condemnation. Jesus took our beating so that we do not have to beat ourselves and our families. The chastisement for our well-being fell upon Him. When the soldiers tied Him to the scourging post and hit Him, by one stroke, your cancer died. By another stroke, your infertility ceased. By another stroke, your depression was lifted. By His stripes, we have been healed!
Lord, I see Your finished work. There is peace on my conscience. The peace on my conscience is not based on my works. It is based on the sure work of Jesus at the Cross. My payment is on the Cross. Our sins have been forgiven. Hallelujah! Thank You, Jesus.
God is glorified by the death of Jesus. At the Cross, Jesus paid it all. The justice of God is now on our side, demanding our blessing, acquittal, prosperity and well-being. I receive all that Jesus has done for me. I am favoured by God. Amen!
