soup and bread - fit for a king

As the saying goes, "breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper". There may be an element of practicality to this. As the day winds down, it may not be advisable to eat a heavy dinner especially if you are having a late dinner.

The solution? Soup and toasted bread.

When Da and I arrived at my mother's home after work today, Boy-Boy was wearing his "champ dog" vest again. He seems to have a liking for this vest.

Dinner was a simple meal comprising clam chowder and toasted garlic bread.

My mother had opened a can of clam chowder and brought it to boil in the pot.

She also spread some homemade garlic spread (which was given to Da by his colleague) onto slices of white bread and toasted the garlic bread in the oven.

We ended the meal on a sweet note with some grapes and cherries.

Shaloam,
