The oil heals

MIL is back in hospital again. On 15 December 2008, she was discharged from the hospital after overcoming a knee infection. It all started with a swollen knee that resulted in her being warded in the hospital on 2 December 2008. At that time, although the doctors told her that there was fluid in her knee, they were unable to find out what caused it. After putting her on antibiotic drip for about a week, they carried out surgery on her on 9 December 2008 to remove the fluid.

Even after she was discharged, she found that she sometimes had pain in her knee and difficulty walking.

The fluid has accumulated in her knee again. On 17 March 2009, she underwent surgery (at 1 am!) at the hospital to remove the fluid in her knee.

MIL, when Jesus died at the Cross 2000 years ago, He took upon Himself all our sicknesses and diseases so that that we can be healthy, whole and well. Do not let the devil rob you of what the precious Son of God died to give you! Look to the Cross, MIL. Jesus has paid for our health and healing.

Do not let this fluid problem become a vicious cycle. Go to Jesus. He is our Healer and He is all we need. The doctors do not have the final word. God does! Even if you need to be under medication, believe that the Lord can work through the medication and heal your knee permanently and you will not have to keep going for surgery again and again.

In many parts of the Bible, reference is made to the grain, wine and oil. Through these three items, we can receive by grace, not by accomplishing or striving, all the benefits of Jesus. The grain and wine represent the Holy Communion, which speak of the body of Jesus (which was broken for our healing) and the precious blood of Jesus (which was shed for the remission of our sins). Olive oil comes from the olive fruit. To get the oil, the fruit and its seed are crushed by a great weight in an olive press. Similarly, Jesus was crushed under the burden and weight of our sins and under the judgement of God (which was meant for us). One of the judgements is the judgement of sickness. He was crushed to become the anointing oil that heals us today.

Mark 6:13: "They drove out many demons and anointed many sick people with oil and healed them."

James 5:14-15: "Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."

When a bottle of natural olive oil has been prayed over in the name of Jesus, it becomes the holy anointing oil and has the power to cast out demons and to heal the sick according to the Word of God in Mark 6:13 and James 5:14. It speaks of the finished work of Jesus and gives us protection, healing, wholeness and well-being. The anointing oil blesses us and gives us victory in Jesus.

Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, I command the permanent healing of MIL's knee. I speak to her knee and call it healed forever in the name of Jesus. Your precious Son died at the Cross to give us healing. He is our Healer and I claim healing for MIL's knee. Amen!
