Eat this bread and drink this wine

Jesus' death for us included provision for us to walk in health. God's nature is to heal. When Jesus walked on earth, the greatest number of miracles that He performed were healing of the sick and diseased bodies. Jesus is the greatest blessing in our lives.

God gives us supernatural health. Jesus gives us health and wealth. I seek Jesus.

God does not want us sick. The Lord's Supper was given as a provision to off-set weakness, sickness and premature death. It is a source of health, healing and blessing for us.

The Holy Communion comprises the bread and the wine. The bread represents the broken body of Jesus (to heal our diseases) and the wine represents the blood of Jesus (to forgive our sins). We need to discern the Lord's body and not do it unworthily. God does not say that we cannot take the Holy Communion if we are unworthy. He said not to do it in an unworthy manner (that is, by not discerning the Lord's body). When we take the Holy Communion, whether we receive from the Lord has nothing to do with whether we are worthy or not (Jesus died for unworthy people!). It depends on whether we take the Holy Communion in an unworthy manner. We do this not just to remember that by the Cross, our sins have been forgiven. To discern the Lord's body is to remember what the Lord did for us at the Cross and this includes the healing of our sicknesses and diseases, and the power of health and wholeness will be released into our lives. Jesus said, "Take eat, this is my body, which is broken for you. Do this in remembrance of me.". We should therefore examine the way we take the Holy Communion. Do we understand what the bread and the wine are for?

When Adam fell in the Garden of Eden, divine sickness started. Jesus has overcome this at the Cross. God did not send His Son to the world to condemn the world but to save (John 3:17). The blood of Jesus is for the forgiveness of sins and the body of Jesus is for our healing. We need to discern this when we take the Holy Communion and we will be strong, healthy and live long.

Jesus is my health and healing. Jesus has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows. He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our sins was upon Him and by His stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53).

Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses (Matthew 8:16-17). He did not just bear our sins. He bore our sicknesses as well. Jesus died and suffered for us to walk in divine health and provision.

Bless the Lord and forget not all His benefits. He forgives all our iniquities and heals all our diseases (Psalms 103). The same blood that forgives our sins also heals our diseases.

Confession of sins refers to agreeing with God about our sins (1 John 1:9). What did God say about our sins? He said that they have been forgiven!

The Bible is full of encouragement for us. When we look at the Cross, we will be healed. Our diseases have been judged at the Cross. There is nothing for us to do. We only need to look at the Cross! We cannot keep one eye on the Cross and the other eye on our illness. Are you looking at the Cross? It is the Cross that saves.

The devil can do nothing but roar. Jesus has removed the devil's teeth. The devil roars to put fear in us. He tries to deceive us in order to destroy us. Someone who deceives does not have real power. The devil tries to use what we have against us. If the devil had real power, he would not need to deceive - he will just do it. If the devil could stop us, he would have stopped us from accepting Jesus. But God's Spirit drew us and we have been saved and blessed!

The devil is an accuser of the brethren. His power is in accusation. Jesus has made us clean by His blood and right now, there is nothing uncleansed in us. Anyone who says otherwise is robbing and insulting what Jesus has done at the Cross.

When we have a sense that we are God's beloved, it is very difficult for temptation to succeed. We are loved intensely by God and the love transforms us. Jesus said that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

God does not want His people to suffer what the world is suffering from. God does not train us with sickness and diseases. God trains us with His Word by preaching. If God teaches us with sickness and disease, then His Son would have gone around undoing what God did. This cannot be the case. God blesses us. Jesus' ministry is a ministry of blessing. We need God's blessings in our lives. The Lord is our shield and our exceedingly great reward (Genesis 15:1).

Thank You, Lord that by Your beating, Your stripes and Your pains, you have healed me.

I walk in health. Jesus is my health and my wholeness. Jesus said that we shall know the truth and the truth will set us free. He did not come to condemn the world but to save the world. At the Cross, Jesus took our place of sin and we took His place of a son. The devil cannot stop us from being saved. Jesus loves us! As many as receive Jesus, God gives them power to become sons of God. In Christ, we are forever saved, completed accepted and highly favoured.

Thank You, Father for the gift of Your Son. You gave Him up so that I might be saved. Jesus took my curses and punishment so that I might be set free from that. His precious blood washes me clean. He is my Saviour, my Healer and my Shepherd. Because of Jesus, I am greatly blessed, highly favoured and deeply loved. Amen.

MIL, I wish to encourage you to take the Holy Communion as often as you can. If your desire is to take the Holy Communion daily or even three times a day (like medicine), do it. As you partake of the Holy Communion, discern the Lord's body and His blood, and receive permanent healing for your knee infection.

(Matza (also known as Matzo) - source: Wikipedia)

Matza (unleavened bread) closely represents the body of Jesus. It is broken, pierced, striped and burned. At the Cross, Jesus' body was broken, pierced, striped and the fire of God's judgement fell upon Him, so that today, God's judgement (including the judgement of sickness) will not be upon us. A divine exchange took place at the Cross. Jesus was never sick nor diseased when He walked on earth. At the Cross, God put our sicknesses and diseases on Jesus and we received in exchange Jesus' health. When you partake of the bread, as you ingest the bread, believe that you are partaking of the body of Jesus and His health. The more you take, the more healthy you will become.

The cup (wine) represents the blood of Jesus. Jesus, who knew no sin, became sin for us at the Cross. God put all our sins on Jesus and punished Him for our sins. With God's judgement, all the sins have been forgiven. Jesus has paid the price. The life of the flesh is in the blood. When you drink from the cup, believe that you are taking the untainted and sinless blood of Jesus into yourself. His pure blood flows in you and cleanses all your sins. There is therefore now no more condemnation in your life and you are free to receive all the blessings of God, including the blessing of health and healing.

The Lord loves you, MIL. As you partake of the Holy Communion, believe and be healed.
