We all have pride. Sometimes, we do things that we are reluctant to let our relatives, friends or even consultants (eg. agents, accountants, etc) know.
We engage consultants for certain transactions because we need their expertise and/or assistance in certain matters. By hiding information from them, they may not be able to have the complete picture. Who will then take responsibility when something goes wrong?
We need to remember that we are not an oasis.
However, it is sometimes counter-productive to hide information from others, especially pertinent information that may potentially jeopardise a transaction. Had the matter blown out of proportion, not only are we in danger of ending up with a law suit, unnecessary misunderstandings or unhappiness may result between relatives or friends.
Whilst we all want to present a perfect front to the rest of the world, sometimes there is necessity to swallow one's pride and speak the truth of what has transpired.
We need to remember that for some matters, there is some team work involved and what we do or not do may affect the entire transaction and there may be repercussions for others.

At the end of the day, we are responsible for our own actions.
We need to remember that we are not an oasis.
