Life is full of ups and downs. When we were students, we led more carefree lives. Our only worries were our studies, our friends and whether we got along with our families.
However, as we enter the working world, it is a different ball game altogether. We now have financial commitments. When we start dating, we find an increase in our expenses. For the girls, there are issues of skin care, new clothes, etc. For the guys, there are issues of paying for meals, arcade games, etc.
The financial issue becomes more felt after we get married. There are now household expenses to be borne, especially if we live on our own.
Sometimes, we may find that life is unfair and wonder why this is happening to us. However, there is always a silver lining in the cloud and if you really think about it, life is not 100% negative. There are rewarding moments as well, such as when our other half gives us a wink across the room.
You are young and there is a long road ahead of you. I pray that this year will bring forth a harvest for you in every area of your life. Treasure those around you and see the good behind the not-so-good facade. At the end of the day, even if others come against us, remember that there is nothing that we can do to change their opinion about us. Furthermore, it is not between us and them. It is all between us and the One above (no matter what your faith/religion is).

Dear SD! Thank you for your enlightening words.. life has been pretty smooth this year compared to last year.. no doubt some things that can't be changed still exists and loneliness and sadness reside deep within me, I'm walking forward strongly.. hoping one day I will be an example to others and bless others with my open arms..
