breakfast at East Coast Road

Da's and my breakfast is getting more and more interesting. Each morning, we will have eat breakfast on our way to my mother's home (where we would park our car at the side road near her home before we take a bus to work).

As such, it has been quite exciting, actually. As we leave our home, we will think of different places to have our breakfast.

We actually wanted to go to Glory Catering, located at East Coast Road. They serve delicious food and mouth-watering kueh. Some of the breakfast food that they sell include nasi lemak, mee rebus, mee siam, lontong, etc. However, when we parked our car at Tembeling Road and walked to Glory Catering, we found that it was not yet open at 8.15 am.

Disappointed, we continued walking along East Coast Road. Goodness me! I thought that this area is renowned for their food outlets that sell food all day long. However, most of the shops that we walked past were all closed.

After we had walked quite a distance (almost reaching Odeon Katong!), we came across Dadi Restaurant, a coffeeshop selling Muslim food. We decided to give this shop a try.

Da ordered a mee rebus.

I ordered a lontong.

We actually ordered a teh tarik and a kopi tarik. However, there was a mix-up in the order and we ended up with a teh tarik and a kopi (without the tarik).

The total cost? S$8.80. I believe that the meal may have been so pricey because of the rent that the restaurant operator had to pay his landlord (the owner of the shop).

And the verdict? I personally prefer the mee rebus and lontong at Glory Catering. I hope that we will be able to have breakfast there soon, else the drooling will not cease..... *grin*.
