God will give us a harvest this year

Recently, a friend and I were discussing about the need for wisdom in a person. He mentioned that there are many people who are highly educated but who are not wise. He gave the example of some people who graduated from university with 1st class honours but who are not good leaders in their working organisation.

When God asked Solomon what he wanted, Solomon asked for wisdom. His reply so pleased the Lord that God gave him riches, glory, position, etc in addition to the wisdom that he asked the Lord for.

Because of the wisdom of God, we will be exalted from the dungeon to the palace. Jesus is the Saviour of the world. In the second coming of Jesus, He will reveal Himself to us. Jesus is the Messiah.

Wisdom is something that we have to pray to God for. When the wisdom of God comes, we find that the solution is there. Wisdom is not the same thing as education. As my friend said, you can be highly educated and yet not wise.

When we hold grudges, we are easily destroyed by the resentment that eats at us like a cancer. The person that we resent may well have a good night's sleep everyday while we toss and turn each night. I know of people who are inherently difficult and who think that the whole world is against them. As such, they protect themselves by making life miserable for everyone. They are also very resentful and they will not hesitate to scheme to get others into trouble because they think that they are protecting their turf. My question to them is - why do you want to make life so difficult for yourself and everyone else? Do you realise that each time you behave like this, you are causing harm to your own body? Resentment can eat away your life like cancer. It is not worth it.

Wisdom is a spirit and we can be full of this spirit. We are after God's wisdom for times like this. God is positioning His people at a time like this. Do not pray for a job - pray for a position. Believe that no matter what job we are in, it is a blessing from the Lord. We may apply for the job to place food on the table for our family but there is nothing to say that we cannot enjoy our job and work for the glory and honour of the Lord. Do you know of colleagues who simply glow with the loving kindness of Jesus? It is such a joy to work alongside such colleagues.

It is important, therefore, that we receive God's wisdom and His favour upon us. God gives wisdom to those who are humble. If something is from God, there will always be an answer of peace, even if the answer is not what you would like to hear.

Where there is Jesus, there is bread and there is supply. Go to Jesus and whatever He says to you, do. He will turn water to wine and restore sight to the blind. He can make the impossible possible. He can cancel out the negative medical reports and create something out of nothing. He can turn a work project (that is heading for disaster) around and lead us to victory.

God sometimes gives us instructions that go against human logic. Let us human logic be subservient to our faith. God wants us to use our faith in these last days. He uses the simple things to confound the mighty. Human logic can sometimes rob us of the best things of God. Radical times call for radical means and radical faith. If we find it illogical, does this mean that we are not a believer? No, it means that we are merely human. However, we have to learn to rely on our faith. What is tangible is sometimes temporal. As such, no matter how small our faith is, even if it is as small as a mustard seed, let us continue to listen to the Word. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. By hearing more and more of the Word and believing that Jesus is our Saviour, subconsciously we will grow in faith.

God's way is to expect big things even in times of famine. When the Benjamin generation (which we are part of) stands before Jesus, bread will be released. Let us discern the bread, which is the body of the Lord.

Do not read our circumstances horizontally. The famine is not from God but He will use the famine to bring us to a place where we will see good days. God will always exceed our expectation.

Let us have increase in the fruits of righteousness. We are righteous because we have received Jesus. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide us to our Father's house.

We are the generation of grace. During this time of famine, God will give us five times more food and clothing. As such, do not worry about tomorrow. While the famine is going on, God will put us in the best of the land.

Jesus wants us to draw near to Him. People who come against us (eg. scheming colleagues, etc) mean evil but God will turn the evil for our good. Forgive these evil people and set ourselves free, even though they may not deserve our forgiveness. I know that it is easier said than done but we have to try.

Even during famine, we should sow and we will prosper because the Lord will bless us. See our need for the seed. This is God's divine strategy. Let us put the seed in the ground as soon as possible so that God can multiply it and give us a harvest.

Abba Father, I believe that there will be a harvest this year for my family and me. It shall come to pass. I thank You for loving me.
