Restful activity

On friday (9 April 2010), I mentioned to a colleague about how busy the past week had been and she reminded me about resting in the Lord while we go about our everyday activities. Thank you for the timely reminder, sister-in-Christ!

Today is Princess' third sunday class session and the feedback from the teachers at sunday class was that Princess needs to go out more often, in order to overcome her stranger anxiety and separation anxiety.

Interestingly enough, even though Princess goes to Qi Ji at Suntec Tower Two only once a week (on sundays) and last week we did not even go to Qi Ji due to Princess' baptism, each time she goes to Qi Ji, the first thing she does is to look around for one of the staff at Qi Ji. This staff clears the tables (and probably washes the dishes) but each time she sees Princess, she takes the trouble to come over to chat with Princess. Each time Princess sees this staff, she is very elated and excited.

As per our current habit, Da would order nasi lemak set #1.

I would order nasi lemak set #3.

Our brunch would also comprise a mug of kopi-si-siu-dai and a mug of teh-si-siu-dai.

In the afternoon, Princess attended her enrichment class in Suntec City. Today, she crawled to the front of the class and sat right in front of her two teachers as one of them pulled out the animal for today from the "zoo bag". She is the youngest (if not one of the youngest) in her enrichment class as the other children in the class seem to be able to walk already. One of them joined the class at the same time as Princess (that is, on 7 March 2010) - she is 11 months old and just started walking. I am fond of this classmate as she shows a very giving nature - she has a sunny and gentle disposition and is always sharing the toys with the other children (including Princess).

During the confidence builder portion of the enrichment class, each child was encouraged to crawl through a fabric tunnel. The children in front of Princess in the queue did not manage to crawl through the tunnel - some refused to enter the tunnel, some turned back halfway, etc. When it came to Princess' turn, she hesitated. When I went to the other end of the tunnel and encouraged her to go forward, she was about to do so when the child behind her seemed to get impatient for his turn and he pulled her back by pulling on her clothes. She sat down with a thud and started to cry. Poor baby! Not to worry - there will be other opportunities, I am sure.

After enrichment class, it was time for Princess' next feed. As such, we went to Qi Ji again. If you are wondering why we are so fond of Qi Ji, it is because they have baby chairs for their customers to use. Some other food outlets over there do not seem to have baby chairs.

Da ordered a laksa for his tea-time.

I was not hungry and as such, Da and I shared a mug of tea.

When we reached home, I fed Princess her dinner and put her to bed. Thereafter, Da and I sat down to dinner.

Da ate a chicken big pau, a char siew pau and a vegetarian nonya dumpling. The vegetarian dumpling was made by the mother of MF (the wife of my brother, LB).

I ate two char siew pau and a vegetarian nonya dumpling.

Hi MF, the vegetarian nonya dumplings were delicious! Please thank your mother for them. More, please? *grin*

After dinner, I could not resist eating a slice of the mocca fudge cake that I baked yesterday as I had not yet sampled the cake.

Shaloam,
