Whoever said that there is no variety of food to be eaten in Singapore needs to erm... eat his words (pun intended).
Soon kueh is a very popular breakfast item. It is also eaten as a teatime snack.
Singaporeans love to eat bread. Nowadays, one can find many types of "designer bread" being sold, such as the blueberry and cheese bun that you see in the photograph below.
Or, if you prefer, sushi!
Many sushi outlets will give you the sauce free of charge although some outlets do charge if you were to request for additional packets of the sauce.
By the way, we had a scare today. Princess developed high fever and had to be rushed to see the pediatrician as she was burning up and crying. When it comes to the little ones, I would prefer to err on the side of caution and a visit to the Accident & Emergency Department of a hospital is not something that I would discount. To me, peace of mind is paramount and the cost of the consultation with the medical professional is secondary. As such, may I request the naysayers to respect the views of those who would rather be safe than sorry.
Also, Da's aunt has been rushed to hospital. The prognosis from the doctor is not that good. However, the doctors do not have the final word. Jesus does! By His stripes, we are healed!
