pet peeves

Just a bit of raving and ranting from me at this time of the morning.... here are some of my pet peeves:-

(1) New converts who over-do the call to evangelise - Please do not quote Bible verses and preach to others as though your denomination is the one and only correct denomination. Just because someone has decided to move onto another church does not mean that such a person is the prodigal son and this does not give you the right to go all out to throw Bible verses at that person so freely (yes, I know it is easy to download the versus from the internet but please show some consideration towards others). Even in our Constitution, we are given the freedom of religion. So, please do the rest of us a favour and respect the fact that we may have chosen to move on.

(2) Strangers who take it upon themselves to discipline our children in public - It is not their place to do so. In fact, relatives also do not have such a right unless it is granted by the parents of the child.

(3) Others who undermind our authority with our children - Again, it is not their place to do so. Also, it can cause the child to see their parent's word as not final. Such harm to the parent-child relationship is unnecessary and uncalled for.

(4) People who give little respect to those in the service industry - For many of us in the service industry, we encounter clients/customers who do not value the work that we do for them. We do not ask for nor expect a big pat on the back or a lunch treat but at the very least, please do not squeeze our costs/billing to such a ridiculously low amount that you insult the work we do.

I am sure that many of you would have more to add to this list. I would love to receive feedback from you on what are your pet peeves.
